The above circumstances are qualified by the following provisions of the Criminal Code: Art. 159 "Fraud", Art. 165 "Causing damage to property by deception or abuse of trust", st.173 "Miss interprenership" st.174 "The legalization of money or other property acquired by other persons by criminal means."

In accordance with Clause 1 of Article 7 of the Law "On private detective and security activity in the Russian Federation," the private detective is prohibited to hide from law enforcement authorities made known to him the facts of preparing or committing an offense;
